Reading Town Hall
Overhaul and re-instatement of sash windows at Reading Town Hall.
Willowside Joinery were awarded the contract for the repair work to five huge sash windows in the Victoria Hall, part of Reading Town Hall. The windows measured 7ft in width and 16ft in height, approximately 8ft from floor level. Specialist 'crown' glass was used during glazing repairs and a system of pulleys and cords, known as 'Meakins openers' were re-instated to allow operation of the window from floor level.
